On June 8th, to finalize this project, there was a final ceremony to dedicate the statue to the Town Hall in honor of Col Depner and Robert Henderson.
This ceremony had speakers such as the Mayor of Monument, Charlie Crouse from the Rampart Chapter, and Scoutmaster Matthew Giles. And a flyover by Gary Frith (Aces Up Aviation)
Charlie Crouse, a member of the Rampart Chapter Association of Graduates he talked about Col Depner's stories, about Robert Henderson, and the history of the P51.
Mayor Mitch LaKind he came to the ceremony to speak about the project and the journey it took to get this statue here.
Matthew Giles: A scoutmaster from Troop 17 spoke about what it takes to become an Eagle Scout and the journey it takes to become one.
Gar wanted to perform a flyover for the final ribbon cutting. He had his plane from Aces Up Aviation with a team of 5 planes to perform an amazing missing man formation, in honor of Col Depner and Robert Henderson. (pictured on the home page)
