The Town of Monument wants to make this project happen by giving us a sport at the Town Hall to place the Sculpture! 

Robert Henderson was a sculptor located in Canyon City, CO and is known as the warbird sculptor. Mainly recognized as his sculptures at the Air Force Academy. But he recently passed away last year on September 6th 2023.

Earl Depner was a squadron commander in WW2 for the 356th squadron. I didn't get to meet him before his passing in January 2022, but I have had the chance to meet his two sons - Marty and George Depner -  who both live in the Colorado Springs area. They are very proud of their father and have provided me a lot of information and stories about his life and accomplishments.

GE Johnson is a construction company in Colorado, and is supporting this project. They are working on a hotel that is attached to the Air Force Academy. If you want to see what they are working on there click here

The Knights of Columbus council 11514 wants to honor WW2 pilots as well as their fellow knight Col Earl Depner!
